Established in 2020, the Positive Collective is growing a new future

The Positive Collective Mission

Positive Interactions

Closer collaboration can help solve the complex challenges we now face. The Positive Collective brings building design and manufacturing ability together in a way suited to meet the needs of people, projects, places and our shared planet.

Positive Resources

We think about our collected work across Five Capitals: natural, human, society, manufactured and financial to make sure we enhance and nurture our environmental and human wellbeing and not simply deliver well designed and economic buildings.

Positive Energy

This includes resetting our ambitions to move beyond being sustainable to regenerative design solutions, generating more than we consume.

Positive for Nature

We work with and not against nature and therefore we tend towards natural products and systems recognising the practical limits of their application. We advocate for nature and biodiversity in our speech and in action.

Positive Ethos

We need a more just and equitable built environment. Our work focuses brining the most value of projects to the local communities where they are and human wellbeing.

Positive Productivity

We use advanced manufacturing-led methods to improve building quality, using digital methods to make buildings that suit each client’s needs.

Positive Contribution

The collective extends to helping improve the whole industry. We continue to engage with teaching and lecturing, and also sharing our knowledge in an open way using Creative Commons when our client agrees.

Positive Language

In our dealings and communication we will be open and use plain English so everyone understands what is being proposed.

Founding Members

Created in 2020, The Positive Collective is a collaboration between its founding members and industry partners. Together, we share an ambition to move beyond sustainability and adopt regenerative design solutions in response to the increasingly urgent issue of climate change, biodiversity loss and the social challenges of our time.
